Ok, some backstory on this one.

This started as a sketch of a D&D group. Now, I fully, barefacedly admit my geekyness when it comes to playing almost any tabletop game I can get my hands on, and have been a D&D vet since 2nd Edition with my cousin.

This group, however, is not like any other... As evidenced by the caracters that have taken root, above and beyond any dice rolling.

To the far left you have our gnome druid, Zuke. Zuke is a big lover of peace and trees and plants and.... and... you know, man? That thing? He's commonly... well, high. Too much time around plants, I say.

Then you have "Lady" Karis, a psychotic man-hating swashbuckler with a touch of half-elf and a nasty tendency to threaten any and all NPCs. Also a kleptomaniac and a secret lover of halflings (she denies it constantly, but we ALL know what that means)

Then you have Donovan "Donny" Sinklare, cleric, ex-thug, heavy drinker, occasional philanderer and did I mention heavy drinker? Highly abrasive and speaks with a heavy cockney accent. (My boy, and the most fun I've ever had playing a cleric)

Then, the tin can, Sir William. He serves as the party's tank, at least in the academic sense. He tends to stand still and let enemies hit him, possibly due to the fact that its easier than hitting THEM. In seven or eight sessions I've only seen Sir William actually be able to hit one or two enemies (leading to speculation that he doesn't know which way his helmet's supposed to go on.)

And, speaking of poor competence, we have Garrett, or Halfling Ninja. The only way to define Garrett's speciality is this- at one point, he fell down a flight of stairs. Completely on his own, no tripping or anything. And he's broken every set of lockpicks he's ever had on him. Not exactly prime assasin material there. But at least he hits half the time.

That bing said, I've never had more fun playing with a group, and this piece is dedicated entirely to them.

Uh, yeah, Karis here. I will have you know, I DO not, WILL not, and have NEVER had a "thing" for halflings. I resent ever making those racist jokes! And if you bring it up again, I will castrate you faster than you can say your own name!

This is hillarious Galen! It's true, we are the luckiest group of foolish bastards ever to have played this game.

I only wish the good times would last a little longer...~::.

Not quite the luckiest, or neccecarily the most foolish, but I think we strike a wonderfully absurd balance somewhere in the middle.

I do not put tremendous stock in the man who has to his creative credit 'crystal lake' 'blood river' 'caves of terror' and other such deeply creative names.
